Thường dùng nói vui, thân mật để cho rằng người mẹ càng đông con thì càng đẹp ra, có phúc hoặc được nhờ con cái. Biến thể dùng “lắm” thay “nhiều” làm sắc thái khẩu ngữ, dân dã hơn, không nên hiểu hoàn toàn theo nghĩa thực.

Used humorously and familiarly to suggest that a mother with many children becomes prettier, more fortunate, or better supported by her children. The wording with “many” gives it a more colloquial, rustic tone and is not meant to be taken literally.
